Go Dry this Feb and fundraise for the Canadian Cancer Society
Dry Feb is a fundraiser that challenges you to go alcohol-free in February, and raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. It helps you get healthy and clear your head while also raising funds for an important cause. You don’t often get the chance to raise money for charity by not doing something!
Giving up alcohol for a month is a small sacrifice to make to help people affected by cancer, and the good news is that it will benefit you too!
Benefits of Dry Feb
Clear your head
More energy
Sleeping better
Weight loss
Healthier skin
Sense of achievement
The Rules – how Dry Feb works
The rules of Dry Feb are simple: sign up and stop drinking for the month of February. Also, reach out to family and friends and ask them to sponsor you for taking part. The money you raise will help raise vital funds for the Canadian Cancer Society to make a difference for Canadians affected by cancer.
Proceeds from Dry Feb will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society and will fund groundbreaking research, as well as provide a support system for people affected by cancer – like the free Cancer Information Service, which helps people across the country by answering questions on all types of cancer, treatments, side effects and much more.

Why alcohol?
Not only does a month off alcohol have many health benefits, but the sobering news is that any type or amount of alcohol increases your cancer risk.
Through Dry Feb, we are looking to raise awareness about the link between cancer and alcohol, promote the idea that we can modify our alcohol consumption to reduce cancer risk and raise funds to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s work.
Sign up for FREE
Signing up to Dry Feb is free, and there is no minimum fundraising amount. We recommend you set yourself a fundraising goal and see if you can achieve it by asking family and friends to donate to your alcohol-free month.
Golden Tickets
The rules for Dry Feb are to stop drinking for the month of February. However, if you have a special occasion in February, you can buy a Golden Ticket. A Golden Ticket gives a Dry Feb participant a night off their challenge. For a minimum $25 donation, even a night off can still make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
Important Note
Dry Feb is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their doctor before signing up to Dry Feb.
